Lachlan is a exceptional teacher that is not only inspirational, but is guaranteed to shift your outlook on the ways of learning music. His methods of teaching are enjoyable, leading a pathway to success in the areas of music that you wish. I could not be more grateful for the lessons Lachlan has provided me as they have helped me understand the craft better than I could have hoped.

Lachlan is a super attentive and clear teacher. He gave me all the tools that I needed to quickly improve my playing. Lachlan helped me to prepare and successfully audition for the Jazz Performance degree at the University of Adelaide. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking to improve their woodwind skills.

My Son Joe and I met Lachy a year ago in a saxophone repair shop when Joe was 11. Joe had never had a saxophone teacher before and was incredibly nervous and very anxious of having any lessons, Lachy was made aware of this and instantly set about making Joe feel comfortable in his presence and with the idea of having lessons. Lachy understood Joe’s situation and encouraged me to sit in on lessons, until this point Joe had been playing along to various YouTube channels but we realised to progress a good teacher was now needed. In a very short time with Lachy, Joe had learnt to read music and was very proud of himself. Lachy’s patience and understanding supported Joe throughout and his skills as a saxophone player and teacher inspired Joe on a weekly basis and encouraged Joe to do the homework set each week with a sense of excitement and dedication towards playing... like Lachy!

We have seen Lachy play in various bands and you can see he is a passionate and skilled player and it’s clear this is something he also shares with passion, skill and most importantly the ability to understand who he is sharing his skilled teaching with and how to share this with them. As Joe says when talking to others “I have the best saxophone player in SA as my teacher”. Joe is inspired to learn, well you would be wouldn’t you!
